Overview
MetaRevu is a pickleball review aggregation website. This policy describes the limited information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the third parties involved. We try to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Affiliate click metadata. When you click an outbound affiliate link to a retailer, we record:
- The retailer you were sent to
- The time of the click
- A one-way hash of your IP address (we do not store your raw IP)
- Your browser user-agent string
- The referring page on MetaRevu that the click came from
We use this data for internal reporting on which products and retailers our readers find useful.
Standard web analytics. We use a standard web analytics provider (Google Analytics 4) to understand aggregate site usage — pages viewed, general geography, device type, and similar metrics. This is configured to use cookies in line with the provider’s defaults.
What we do not collect
- No user accounts. MetaRevu does not offer sign-up or login.
- No personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, address, or payment details.
- No email newsletters or marketing lists.
- No cross-site tracking beyond what the analytics provider performs by default.
Cookies
MetaRevu itself does not set marketing or advertising cookies. The analytics provider sets its standard cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. You can block or clear these cookies in your browser at any time; the site will continue to function.
Third parties
Google Analytics. Aggregate site usage data is processed by Google. See Google’s privacy policy for details on how they handle analytics data.
Affiliate retailers. When you click an outbound link to a retailer (for example Amazon, JustPaddles, or another merchant), you leave MetaRevu and enter that retailer’s site. From that point on, their privacy policy applies, not ours.
Data retention
Affiliate click logs are retained indefinitely for internal reporting. Because these records contain only hashed IPs and user-agent strings — never names, emails, or account identifiers — they are not directly tied to an individual visitor.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request information about, correction of, or deletion of any data we hold relating to you. Because MetaRevu does not operate user accounts, we are typically unable to associate site data with a specific individual, but you are welcome to contact us with any request and we will respond in good faith.
Contact
Questions about this policy or a data request can be sent through the contact details listed on our site.
