Diadem Riptide Composite Paddle

91Universal Acclaim

The Diadem Riptide Composite Paddle receives strong praise for its balanced control, smaller grip size ideal for players with smaller hands, and good spin generation. The primary drawback is its notably loud pop on ball contact, which some players find objectionable, and the grip may be too small for others without an overgrip.

This was the one: I’ve been playing for some time now and my previous paddle was okay compared with this one. I’ve been able to play better and paddle feels much comfortable. Others have noted my improvement when playing with this one. Love this paddle!

Good 2nd Paddle: This is a great looking paddle. The paddle face has a unique fiberglass meld surface that feels rather rough to the touch. It generates good spin. Slices feel very nice on this paddle. The handle is a very comfortable hexagonal shape, but it was too small. I had to put an overgrip on it. There is significant pop from this paddle. However, after putting an overgrip on it, the swing balance went more toward the handle. The sweet spot was smaller than what I am used to. Also, as a

POP!: This paddle made such a loud pop when it hit the ball, I was embarrassed! Although I know some people like the pop. Good beginner to intermediate paddle, but I sent it back for an edgeless model.

Great Paddle for small hands: I have played with several different paddles and at times have felt like Goldilocks. Too long, too large a grip, too hard or too soft. This paddle has a smaller grip which allows me to maneuver my paddle for quicker reaction time. It also allows good touch as well as being able to hit hard on command. Love this paddle!

Love this paddle: I have only played a few times with this paddle but like the feel of balance and control that it provides when I play. I have also been looking for a smaller grip and the grip on this is perfect for me. You should give this new paddle a try!
