78Mixed or Average

The Franklin X-1000 receives mixed reviews, with strong praise for its value and power at a mid-range price point, particularly from recreational and beginner players. However, multiple reviewers consistently cite poor control as a significant limitation, making it better suited as a spare or practice paddle rather than a primary choice for developing players.

Power is good. Low control : These parsonage a surprising amount of power but they lack control. They came free with our net and they are okay as spares. If you can learn to control these you will be ready for an advanced paddle. I’d imagine this is the sort of paddle that you would find in a recreation center. Middle of the road.

Franklin Z1000 Paddle: Myself and the other teachers are happy with the paddles we purchased. They are far better than normal PHYS ED paddles that we purchased for the students. The students are jealous and try to snag them from us when we aren't looking. We are hoping to buy more just like them for our classes.

Picklball paddle..X1000: Asked to demo this paddle.. been playing for 7 years..good beginner paddle at a mid range price.. good pop and a well designed handle with a comfortable grip…made in China..would like more weight at the top.

No Control: I bought this to have extra paddles on hand for friends and family, but it would be mean to saddle a beginner with this paddle. It has a bull-in-a-china-shop feeling. Ok-ish power but absolutely zero control.

Solid paddle: Played with Ben Johns paddle and it was to soft of a touch. This paddle has more power with it. I usually use Engage but this is an awesome paddle especially for the price.

They’re fine.: They had a great selection at Dick’s locked up. After we asked for help, range the doorbell thing by the tennis area a few x and stood around for 30 mins without one person willing to help we bought these. The only ones not locked up...so much for service.
