Long-lasting ball, but no one else likes it: The Lava-colored Franklin X-40 outdoor pickleball is a perfectly great pickleball. It plays just as well as the Optic/Neon colored versions of these, and in my personal experience, the orange ones don't crack nearly as often (I suspect due to the dye chemicals used)! Unfortunately, no one else likes the color, even though I think it looks fine and is easily trackable. So for that reason, I can't recommend this product because as soon as you pull this
X-40: This ball is awesome I picked the lava color so that I wouldn't lose them in the sea of pickleballs at the court, only down side is people seem to prefer not using them and will go out of their way to get a neon one from a friend or something lol. I love it and find it extremely funny that people do this. I 100% recommend these Franklin X-40’s. Good price compared to wall mart and others.
Most difficult to bring back home: Everyone keeps these balls. I keep coming back for more. Because I believe I can see the orange color better, especially at dusk. And they do not crack. And they do not grow soft. Even people who prefer yellow balls will use my Franklin orange balls after they hit a few.
