Great for dry weather: I live in the desert. It is perfect for me. Very tacky. I don’t know how it would be if I lived in Florida because it is very thin. That would be my only concern of why I did not give it five stars. It is great for me I live in Nevada.
Still good but…….: As others have stated these used to have recessed edges that allowed the seams to better indent/form. Wish that feature would return. Still like the tackiness and overall feel.
Too hard to put on: When I was demoing a racquet with this grip, it felt quite good. 3 months later, I bought a pack for myself. As I was putting the grip on, I would pull moderately tight to stop wrinkles from happening, but no matter how hard or soft I pulled, it kept getting loose after I kept pulling on. I eventually gave up and gripped the racquet not caring about wrinkles, and when i finished to feel it, it was not how it felt a few months ago and it was not worth the gripping process. Als
Head Overgrip: I love the feel of this grip, it's very tacky and comfy. It may be a little bit heavier than other overgrips though
Best Grip Tape I've Found: My hands sweat a lot while playing (even in the winter) and this is the longest lasting, best gripping tape I've used. Wilson is very good also but I prefer this brand.
The THIN EDGE is GONE: Confirm the report by previous reviewer: The THIN EDGE that allow for zero "ridges" when overlapped against each other, is now GONE, in the new batches.
Why do Head do this? This WAS the only over-grip in the market that has this feature, and now is gone.
If people want a flat over-grip that produce "ridges" when overlapped, there are tons that are better!
The design has changed: I loved this grip because it had grooves where the tape overlaps. It is now flat just like every other overgrip. Why would Head do this?
Minimum Overlapping - NO RIDGES: This may be the only over-grip in the market that by its design of the thinner edges, can be wrapped with minimum overlapping that produce almost NO RIDGES. (unlike all the other over-grips in the market).
Then again, even some TW testers wrap it with big overlaps that produced thick ridges -- which IMO, not taking full advantage of this grip.
The only downside of this grip: the holes.
WHY the holes, WHY, WHY??
It could be a five star without the holes.
Not for me: I've liked other Head overgrips (Prime), though not this one. It's very difficult to wrap without pinching or folding on itself. Lacks quality in my opinion. It wasn't for me.
Durable tacky grip: I have used Gamma Supreme for a long time but was looking for an overgrip that was more resistant to peeling of the tacky surface. The Head Extreme Soft does just that while providing a sufficiently tacky grip even after heavy use and accumulation of dirt. The only downside is that it is a bit short when trying to provide a long grip surface for a two-handed backhand.
