Although I'm a beginner in pickleball, who has played tennis in the past, I felt the paddle was very versatile. It offered a lot of control as well good power with a large sweet spot. Perfect for intermediate players!: While I am new to Pickleball, I have played tennis for years. My first night on the court, I borrowed a friend's very very basic circular, wooden paddle - very similar to a standard ping pong paddle. While it "worked", it was very hard to get used to. The shortness of the paddle took a lot of getting used to. Then, another friend of mine let me borrow his JOOLA Ben John's Hyperion paddle.... WOW, what a remarkable difference! No power, no spin!: I am compelled to write a review on this paddle as it is the worst paddle I've had. I recently had my bag of pickleball paddles stolen so I had to settle for this. It has no power at all! It practically has zero spin as well. If you are a dink player than this is your paddle I guess. Just disappointed in it. I know it's outdated but you would think it would have more everything.

Ben Johnson Joola paddle is average.: Bought the Ben Johnson paddle to replace my Selkirk beginner paddle to improve my game. With the textured surface and “superior” paddle structure I expected more control and improved power. I have experienced neither. The “feel” and performance are no different than my beginner paddle. Hyperion C2 CFS 16: I love this paddle. My previous paddle was the earlier generation model, which I also liked but it cracked at the connection between the head and the handle. The C2 is a unibody construction and supposedly won't be as prone to breaking at the neck. I like the blend of touch, control and power of this paddle. It's just right for my style of play.

Handle broke at 7 months: Great paddle until the handle breaks. 12 of us bought Joolas and they all broke at the same spot at the neck of the handle in the 7 to 9-month time frame. Joola told us all we were on our own, no guarantee after 6 months. We all switch back to Selkirk so we could get something that lasts.
