Good feel. Nice looking.: My previous paddle (from Selkirk) was approx 8 yrs old. It did not feel as solid as it used to so it was time to get a new one. Been playing with new one for a few weeks now. No wow moments yet. It seems to have more pop. Control feels about like the old one. It has a nice feel. I am still gettng used to it. I fully realize some of my game issues boil down to my skill set. Not expecting miracles.
SLK HALO Power - Max - Pickleball Paddle
SLK HALO: My wife is using this paddle as her everyday open play paddle. Amazing paddle, power and control truly is its strength. Recommending this to players who are interested in buying for a new pickleball paddle.
Wish i got an xl: The handle is too short and I’m struggling to have enough grip to hold onto it i wish i got the XL
Halo power: I love my new racquet. I tried out 5. This one is the best for me. Thin and hard.
SLK Halo: It's light weight and has a lot of control. So far, so good!
A touch of power: Power in all the right places. I wouldn't say this is an extreme power paddle but it adds enough power for me to feel like I am getting a little extra on my ball. I have the max and I like to traditional handle and shape of the paddle.
Halo paddle: Love the grip and I have more control with this paddle
Perfect for power not for sweaty hands: Great paddle but the handle is extremely slippery for sweaty hands.
Fun and Powerful: This paddle is really light and has a standard shape grip. It lacks a bit of control, but the power it provides is amazing. The pop sound that it makes is also very satisfying when hitting the ball. Hitting drives and volleys are amazing but when I was trying to place a ball or tried to dink it was surprisingly hard to keep the ball low or in the kitchen. I would recommend this paddle to anyone who wants power but also knows how much power they can give to keep the ball in play
Decent paddle!: I have been playing with it regularly for a couple weeks now and it is wonderful. Definitely adds a nice spin and provides decent control!
Selkirk Halo: The first time I played with this new paddle, I kept hitting everything on the edges and had a bad day of pickleball. Now, a lot of games later, I’ve gotten used to it and I’m really starting to feel the control and the power that the paddle offers. I am a 67 year old barely a intermediate trying to improve my game.
Love this paddle: I am new to the sport. I like this paddle a lot.
Halo Power Max: Really liked it during a demo. Have been using it for almost a month. It's pretty good, but I feel like I need to continue using it, especially when drilling, to get the most benefit from it.
Love it !: Love the power but everything else too. I don’t feel like I lost control. Great paddle
ALL COURT PADDLE: The Halo Power Max is a great paddle I highly recommend for anyone getting their first serious paddle purchase. Great price point and a great sweet spot. It has enough control despite being 13mm so you get a great balance of power and control.
Nice punch in a compact paddle!: I found this paddle to have great spin and power especially on short strokes. The handle is a little short for my liking. I do prefer a longer face and handle... I primarily use the invikta shape. I would consider using this paddle if it came in this shape. I do not prefer an edge guard. This is a great paddle for an advanced beginner to intermediate player. It feels light and has moderate control. Overall it's a great paddle for an awesome price!
Great paddle: Love the handle and feel of the paddle. Worth it for the price
Halo POWER!!: The slk halo power is a really great paddle. Lots of power for those overhead smashes. 😊 I really love the whole halo line! The colors, the feel, and the price point can’t be beat.
Great for those that have a slower swing speed: This paddle has incredible power potential but should only be used by those that require the additional power or for those with a slower swing speed. It's a great rally paddle but higher intermediate players may find difficulty using this in a match if they have aggressive swings.
Great Pop In this Paddle - Especially At This Price!: Great paddle construction. Love the INVIKTA shape and longer handle. Really tough to beat this price for a raw carbon faced paddle with this amount of pop.
Selkirk Halo Power Max Shape: I think this paddle was a great upgrade from the last version. I think there was a noticeable difference from the construction changes that were made to this paddle. I think the thermoformed body added a great amount of power to the paddle. I also think it maintained the control and touch that the initial Halos provided. I think the sound of the paddle was great. I heard great feedback from other testers that they liked the handle size. I agree and found the handle
Halo power: Good grip, like the new carbon face, good pop off the paddle
Price Point unbelievable for such a Quality Paddle: I felt in complete control, even a little more than my Epic Luxx, My placement seemed to be more accurate. I did not feel the paddle produced a lot of power, but it is not weighted as my Lux,
The best,
Jim
FIREPOWER!: Great firepower in this paddle! I instantly hit the ball harder with this paddle, and it had just the snap I wanted for my overheads. Also feels great in your hand. The fun new colours are a bonus too!
Selkirk - Halo Max: Great paddle that has a nice soft feel perfect for resets and blocks. The carbon face provides decent top spin and touch. The paddle lacks just a bit of power when needed but makes up for it much control. I would rate this paddle good for players 3.0 and up and can appreciate it’s control

Paddle: So far so good. I was happy getting advice on upgrading my 3 year paddle.

SLK paddle: Very pleased with this paddle… I switched to the SLK from a SST type paddle and I’m much happier with the soft touch and control with the SLK

Selkirk SLK Halo Paddle: I like the way the Paddle feels in my hand. I have better conrol of it. I have played three times with it.

Selkirk Halo: I started playing with the Halo Power 14mm and then added the Control 16mm. Both are excellent paddles. I will be using the power paddle for singles and the controller for doubles. Prior to this purchase I used a Joola Hypernian and the Selkirk Mach 6 Vanguard.

Halo control...: I played with this paddle a couple hours the other day. Although I was using a 16mm core control paddle before...this one is still much "softer". I am not sure I will be able to put away balls with this. There is definitely no "pop" with this Halo. I know there is an adjustment period for new paddles...so I will hang in there awhile longer.

Paddle : This paddle has really helped my game with its control surface and east to handle grip.

Nope- not the one : This paddle looks great and I thought I would give it a try. I couldn’t hit the ball with it. Tried it for 3 days - indoors and out. No joy. Selkirk Halo Max: Played singles with this new paddle, 70+, and won a Gold medal. Excellent control as advertised

excellent feel: This paddle was advertised as being a control/spin paddle, and it is as described. Nice soft feel on the ball and more spin than my previous paddle. The grip is comfortable and not slippery. I'm very happy with it.
