Poor Quality: I thought a trusted brand like Penn would have better quality control. I caught these on sale for $10 so I’m not too upset but I can see why they were clearing them out. These aren’t a one piece ball and there are very few on the market that are. What makes these worse than others is the center seam where the two halves are put together is not very clean. It can lead to imbalance and cause the balls to break in half after much less normal use than others.

Outstanding choice for in or outdoors: Our pickleball group has become hooked on the Penn 40 Outdoor ball. We play mostly inside on a concrete court topped with a synthetic material surface. But, we love this ball for outside, too. Consistent bounce, fast play and durable! We tried at least 6 other brands and Penn 40 Outdoor in yellow is our favorite.
